| What is Motability? |
Motability is a charity which helps disabled people of all ages to get around. It does this by helping them to use some or all of their Disability Living Allowance (DLA) at the higher rate Motability component, or War Pensioners Supplement to buy or lease a car.

Motability offers two different schemes to help disabled people obtain a vehicle.
These are: |
Contract Hire
The Motability Contract Hire Scheme is available over a three year period on selected models. You have to give up part, or all, of your allowance, and pay Advance Payment, where applicable. All maintenance and servicing, comprehensive insurance and full breakdown assistance for the vehicle, provided by RAC are included in the agreement. |
Hire Purchase
You may prefer to purchase your vehicle under a Hire Purchase agreement. You can select a hire purchase option over 4 or 5 years using the Motability Hire Purchase Scheme for New Vehicles, or a 2 or 3 year option for a Used Vehicle. Special rates of finance and special discounts are available from Motability Finance Ltd, depending on the model you choose. |
